Testing Perfmon
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006Today I gave perfmon a spin.
To make it short: I’m impressed, it’s worth it’s money (20 U$). It helps making you faster and avoids tinkering with curl for timing, shoting yourself in the foot with timing in password protected areas, puting hand rolled SQL dumping functions into oyur views etc.
My only complains are:
* arguments in the detail view should be escaped (see picture above)
* there should be a big warning “sql is only dumped in debugging mode” to ensure people who don’t read the documentation don’t get upset ;-)
