Cheated by Apple

I have upgraded to Apples Latest Operating System revision 10.3 since they seem to stop supporting the older 10.2. So more or less Apple now wants me to subscribe it’s OS for about 100 Euro a year. They come up every 15 Months or so with a high priced OS update and stop supporting toe old one immediately.

I would accept that, if the Update would at least be an improvement. But no. I’m regretting it already. The day OS 10.3 was published I ordered it in the Apple online store – last week they debited my credit card; yesterday the box with the software arrived – welcome to the wonderful world of instant satisfaction: eCommerce@Apple.

Observations so far:

* my bookmarkletts break in Safari 1.1
* the system is considerable slower than 10.2. It regularly “freezes” for some seconds. Sure, my 1 Ghz/1GB Powerbook is just too old and too slow I’ll buy a faster one … ops its already the fastest Notebook at sale from Apple.
* Compose-Character is broken in the Terminal window. The makes the computer nearly unusable to me.
