We’re back from hack.lu and as every year, it was a blast. Very nice and smart attendees from all around the world, good talks and entertaining evening events. Try finding a restaurant for about 50 hackers in the inner city of Luxembourg sometime. It’s fun :).
Much happened this year, apart from the usual exchange of new ideas and gossip from the IT security world. Claus and Alex won Eric Filiol’s Crypto Challenge, a task not too easy. Lutz made second place in the Reverse Engineering Challenge. Actually, he was first in solving it using his Pandora’s Bochs, but to be fair to the others he agreed to additionally solve the challenge manually.
I also gave a short interview for RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg as part of their news item about the hack.lu. The news item is in Luxembourgish, but my part is in German. If you speak German, you’ll understand the Luxembourgish fairly well, though. You can watch it on their website at RTL.lu.
Many thanks again to all the organisers for the fantastic job they’ve done. hack.lu definitely stays to be one of our favourite conferences. We’re already looking forward to next year’s edition!
